The summer program brings families together for a 4-day boat building event and a day of exploring Boston Harbor and the islands aboard Zephyr.

      The experience is very similar to the winter student program. We work very hard to find families who would not otherwise have the opportunity to build a boat or explore Boston Harbor aboard a sailboat.

       We also run a boat rental program on the Charles River Esplanade. Boats built by student teams and families are used in the rental program and are also available free of charge for the building teams’ use. This arrangement offers the builders a place to use their boat and the opportunity for new learning experiences together.

      The boat building offers families the time to learn Spatial Thinking skills together.
